Curriculum and Articulation Agreements

BCC’s PTA Program is committed to academic excellence. The faculty realize that learning is a lifelong process, that can be developed through academic theory, clinical application and life experiences. They believe that the responsibility for knowledge acquisition and retention rests with the students. Students are encouraged to utilize all available resources to enhance the learning process. The faculty recognize that each student brings a unique set of strengths and weaknesses to the program. To facilitate learning for all students, the curriculum design has both didactic and clinical components and uses multiple teaching modalities. Besides traditional teaching methods, case scenarios, service learning, computer enhanced classes and self-assessment are used to facilitate the learning process.
