The University of New Hampshire's Dimond Library's Government Documents
Department created this online collection of over 1100 USGS topographic
maps which offer complete geographical coverage of New England from
the 1890s to 1950s. The collection also includes 222 maps of New
York state.

IAM is an on-line atlas of the ancient Mediterranean world. These
pages provide downloadable, prinitable ancient maps of the world.
Site was created as a cooperative effort by the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill and the American Philological Associations

this is a sight probably more popular for its driving directions
feature than anything else. Simply type in your starting point and
destination, and youÕll get a map plus written directions, including
estimated driving time.

An amazing site for locating maps of anywhere on Earth, plus
a few places outside of Earth. Easily searched by keyword, this
site even handles variations in geographic names without a hitch.

Extensive collection organized by area by Claire Englander, University
of California Library, Berkeley: and Phil Hoehn, David Rumsey Collection,
San Francisco. Maps on biodiversity, fossil records, vegitation,

U.S. Gazetteer

on the 1990 Census Lookup server. This gazetteer is used to identify
