DANTES
DANTES is another credit by examination program for
which BCC is an open test site. Originally designed for members
of the military, the program is now open to a variety of public
sector employees. DANTES examinations are given on the monthly CLEP
testing date as well as by appointment. The fee for each DANTES
examination is $70.00; $60.00 of this fee is payable to DANTES via
money order or credit card, while the $10.00 fee is payable to BCC
in cash, check, or money order. There is generally a two-week period
from the date on which a DANTES examination is ordered until it
is received at BCC for administration. Students are urged to speak
with their advisors regarding whether credit earned via DANTES examinations
is acceptable within their program of study. Those wishing to register
for DANTES examinations should contact the Assessment and Testing
Center at (413) 499-4660, ext. 1655 or 1656. Study Guides can be
obtained from the Testing Center as well.
