The Student Success Center is committed to helping students achieve academic success. Students are encouraged to visit the center either on a walk-in basis or as a referral from an instructor. The staff will be happy to discuss strategies for academic success, or refer students to the appropriate services on campus, such as tutoring or personal counseling. The Center has developed an early alert system called MAX (maximizing academic excellence), which is a communication network developed between professors and the Center, that offers students support and assistance. Instructors who participate in the MAX program may refer students to the Center, which will then follow up by contacting the students to see what academic strategies would be most helpful.
